INCREASE OF MINIMUM SALARY\/ ADJUSTMENT OF CESTATICKET<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Presidential Decree No. 3.829 of April 25, 2019 was published in Official Gazette No. 6.452 Extraordinary of the same date. Said Decree increased the mandatory minimum monthly salary in all of the national territory.<\/p>\n

The increase became effective as from April 16, 2019 and the minimum salary as from said date is as follows:<\/p>\n

a) Bs. 40,000.00 per month for the workers of the private and public sectors.
\nb) Bs. 30,000.00 per month for adolescents and apprentices.<\/p>\n

However, if the worker renders part-time services, the salary may be paid on the basis of the relevant rate according to article 172 of the Organic Law on Labor and Workers.<\/p>\n

Also, Presidential Decree No. 3.832 of April 25, 2019 was published in Official Gazette No. 6.452 Extraordinary of the same date. Said Decree established the monthly Socialist Cestaticket for the workers of the private and public sectors at the amount of Bs. 25,000.00 per month, regardless of the number of workers that provide services at the work entity.<\/p>\n

To that end, the methods for compliance prescribed in the Decree with the Status, Value and Force of Law of Socialist Cestaticket continue to be valid, without prejudice to the preferences indicated in the Decree.<\/p>\n

Said adjustment became effective as from April 16, 2019.<\/p>\n
