Project Financing

Our Firm has advised clients on the external financing (“project financing”) of several energy projects, such as the Strategic Associations for Upgrading of Extra-heavy Crude of the Orinoco Oil Belt, Cerro Negro, Sincor, and Hamaca, the natural gas fractionation plants ACCRO III and IV, and the project for the construction and operation of a plant for production of 160,000 tons of propylene per year, etc.

Our Firm has also advised both lenders and borrowers of different types of financing, including project financing, financing from export credit entities and multilateral credit institutions, financing to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and its agencies, issue of corporate credit instruments, among other related activities.

We have assisted our clients in the preparation of loan documents, local guarantees, such as: pledges, mortgages on personal and real property, trust agreements, legal opinions, filings with local governmental authorities, preparation of projects and offering memoranda, financing structure, and other aspects of Venezuelan law related to financing operations.
