INCREASE OF MINIMUM SALARY / INCREASE OF SOCIALIST CESTATICKET

Presidential Decree No. 4.653 of March 15, 2022 was published in Official Gazette No. 6.691 Extraordinary of the same date. Said Decree increased the mandatory minimum monthly salary. Likewise, Presidential Decree No. 4.654 of March 15, 2022 was published in the same Official Gazette. Said Decree increased the benefit of the Socialist Cestaticket.

The national minimum salary for all workers of the public and private sectors was established as follows:

a) The monthly amount of Bs. 130.00.
b) The monthly amount of Bs. 97.50 for adolescents and apprentices, without prejudice to the provisions of article 303 of the Organic Law of Labor and Workers (OLLW).

However, the salary of part-time workers may be paid on the basis of the relevant rate in accordance with article 172 of the OLLW.

Also, the amount of the Socialist Cestaticket for the workers of the private and public sectors was fixed at Bs. 45.00 per month, regardless of the number of workers providing services at the work entity; without prejudice to the forms of performance of this obligation prescribed in the Decree with the Status, Value, and Force of Law of Socialist Cestaticket for Workers.

The aforesaid adjustments became effective on March 15, 2022.
